Where It Started

Dan Sager grew up around grease, grit, and good work ethic, literally. His dad was a factory GM technician, and Dan spent his early years riding along in tow trucks and turning wrenches in the garage.

After moving to Boise in 2004, Dan worked as a full-time mechanic for a national tire chain while fixing cars at home on the side to support his growing family. What started as side work quickly became a calling, and in 2012, Sager and Sons Auto opened its doors on the Boise Bench.

The name says it all. This isn't a franchise. It's a family shop, built from the ground up, rooted in the community it serves.

The Shop Today

Today, Sager & Sons is a full-service shop serving the Boise Bench, Meridian, and the broader Treasure Valley. Dan leads as ASE Master Technician, certified since 2004, alongside a crew of technicians who take pride in doing the job right the first time.

Katie runs operations, service advising, and marketing, bringing structure, communication, and a commitment to the customer experience that sets the shop apart from chain alternatives.

We added a Hunter Engineering alignment system, digital vehicle inspections, and a NAPA AutoCare partnership, not because we had to, but because we believe every customer deserves dealership-level tools with independent shop accountability.

A Few Milestones

2004
Dan arrives in Boise. Starts working as a mechanic for a national chain while building his skills and reputation on the side.
2012
Sager and Sons Auto opens on the Boise Bench. A family shop built from scratch, with honesty and communication at the center of everything.
2014
ASE Master Technician recertification. Dan continues investing in his credentials, multiple recertifications over 20+ years of professional service.
2019
NAPA AutoCare affiliation. Sager & Sons joins the NAPA AutoCare network, unlocking the 3-Year / 36,000-Mile nationwide warranty for our customers.
2022
Hunter Engineering alignment system installed. The same technology used by dealerships nationwide, now available right here on the Boise Bench.
