What we do for buyers
80+ Point Pre-Purchase Buyer's Inspection
Full module scan, VIN cross-check, readiness monitor status, panel gaps, water intrusion, drivetrain testing, body & paint, and a complete written report with repair estimates. This is not a routine checkup. This is a buyer's tool.

A Test Drive Tells You
Almost Nothing

A professional inspection tells you everything. Here's what you can miss without one — and why our inspection goes so far beyond the standard.

📋

Clean Carfax ≠ Clean Car

Carfax only shows officially reported accidents. Unreported collisions, deferred maintenance, and mechanical wear don't show up on any vehicle history report.

🎨

Cosmetics Hide Problems

Fresh detailing and paint can hide rust, frame damage, and flood intrusion. Our techs look at panel gaps, paint depth, and jamb overspray — not just the surface.

💻

Codes Get Cleared

Sellers frequently clear warning lights before a sale. Our readiness monitor status check catches this immediately — codes that reappear after a fresh scan reveal exactly what was hidden.

💰

Negotiating Power

Our written report with repair estimates gives you real leverage. Use our findings to negotiate the price down, require repairs before purchase, or walk away with confidence.

⚙️

Expensive Problems Hide

Transmission wear, oil leaks, and coolant intrusion show no symptoms during a short test drive. These are exactly the things that become thousand-dollar surprises after you buy.

🤝

We Work for You

We are not selling you the car. We're not affiliated with the seller or the dealership. Our only job is to give you an honest, independent assessment before you commit.

Common Questions

Everything buyers want to know before scheduling — answered straight.

Our complimentary Digital Vehicle Health Inspection is 48 points — it's a solid health snapshot we run with every service visit. The Pre-Purchase Inspection is a completely different product. It covers 80+ points specifically designed for buyers: full module scan with readiness monitor status, VIN cross-check, panel gap and paint overspray assessment, water intrusion check, drivetrain functional testing, rust scoring, and a written summary with repair cost estimates. This is a buyer's tool, not an oil-change checkup.
Yes, absolutely. Most of our pre-purchase inspections are for private party purchases. Most reasonable sellers will allow a short-notice inspection if you explain it is a condition of your offer. If a seller refuses to let you have the vehicle independently inspected, that is a significant red flag on its own.
Dealership certified pre-owned programs include their own inspections, but those are done by people who work for the dealership. An independent inspection from a shop with no financial stake in the sale gives you an unbiased second opinion. We recommend it regardless of where you're buying.
Most inspections are completed in 1.5 to 2 hours. We'll give you a realistic time estimate when you schedule based on the specific vehicle. Same-day turnaround is typically available with advance scheduling.
A flat $200. No variable pricing based on the vehicle, no surprise add-ons. Identifying even one significant issue before purchase can save you far more than the inspection fee — and knowing the full condition of a vehicle before you commit is worth every penny.
That's exactly what the inspection is for. If we find issues, we'll give you an honest assessment of how serious they are, what they'll cost to fix, and whether they affect the safety or long-term reliability of the vehicle. You can use that information to negotiate a lower price, ask the seller to address the repairs, or walk away from the deal entirely.
No. A Carfax report only includes accidents and service records that were officially reported. Unreported accidents, deferred maintenance, and mechanical wear don't show up on any vehicle history report. The only way to know the actual condition of a vehicle is to have a qualified technician physically inspect it — and we go well beyond the basics.
When a vehicle's check engine light is on, sellers sometimes clear the fault codes right before a sale to make the car appear problem-free. After codes are cleared, the vehicle's onboard monitors show as "not ready" until the car has been driven through enough cycles to re-evaluate each system. When we see "not ready" monitors, we know codes were recently cleared — and we can tell you which systems haven't been evaluated yet. This is a major red flag that this inspection catches every time.
