How often should transmission fluid be changed?
Generally every 30,000 to 60,000 miles depending on your vehicle and driving habits. Towing, stop-and-go traffic, and aggressive driving shorten that interval. We'll check your fluid condition and give you a straight answer based on what we find.
What's the difference between a drain-and-fill and a full exchange?
A drain-and-fill only removes the fluid accessible from the drain plug, typically 30 to 50 percent of the total fluid. A full exchange uses specialized equipment to remove nearly all old fluid, giving you a much cleaner result and better protection.
My transmission seems fine. Do I still need to service the fluid?
Yes. By the time you feel symptoms, there's often already significant internal wear. Fluid service is preventive. It's far cheaper than a transmission rebuild or replacement.
